About McKimmey/McKimmy family
Please sign in to see more.
This site is dedicated to the McKimmey & McKimmy families that settled in Indiana in the early 1800's. Thanks to DNA, we have found a match between a descendent of Nathaniel McKimmey and a descendent from his brother Gideon McKimmey, and it is about a perfect match!!! Proving without a doubt that Nathaniel's family migrated from N.C. to central Indiana. Gideons family migrated from N.C. and settled in southern Indiana around Terre Haute. NOTE: As of this time there is no proven documentation that Shadrach is the father of Silas McKimmy, but the DNA results prove they are related.

To view the DNA results, click on the McKemie family link below.

This site provides genealogy informaton on both sets of McKimmey/McKimmy families.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
